Rainy season
July 30, 2009 at 20:07 | In Gay Bangkok, Mack's advisories | 1 CommentJuly 2009:
The third quarter of each year is the rainy season in Thailand. It’s also the low season for tourism, partly because many Westerners think of rain negatively and avoid a vacation in Thailand during this period.
In the tropics, rain is seen in far more positive light – it cools down the hot days.
Another misconception is that the rain is nearly continuous during the rainy season, perhaps drawn from the fact that in Europe, rain tends to be light but long-lasting.
On this count too, it’s quite different in the tropics. Even when a day is forecast to be “rainy”, what actually happens is that it is hot and sunny for some hours, then gets overcast with huge grey clouds building up. Finally, the dam bursts, and buckets of water are thrown down from the sky for half an hour or so. This then tails off into lighter rain and drizzle for two or three more hours. T Plus goes to heaven, Paradise descends

July 2009:
“Bordering on spam”, Smiles called it on the Sawatdee-Gay-Thailand board. This new massage place was definitely announcing itself too often. But what was this place? Its name – Candle Paradise Spa, or Candle P Spa for short – was awfully similar to the better known Candle T Spa, which I had reported on in A chuckwow would spoil the pleasure.
Is Candle P a rip-off of Candle T? Or has Candle T expired, to be succeeded by Candle P? I feared the latter possibility since Candle P’s advertised telephone number was the same as Candle T’s. Continue reading T Plus goes to heaven, Paradise descends…
Five-star elegance at Bento
July 25, 2009 at 14:22 | In Gay Bangkok, M2M massage, Mack's reports | 4 CommentsTags: Bento Massage Bkk
July 2009:
Bento gives a very good first impression indeed. Its Singaporean owner has spared no expense in giving the interior a five-star treatment. The lobby had mirrors the entire width of walls, luxury seats and classy pieces of art.
The lavish decor made up for the fact that the business actually occupies a rather small shoplot, with everything on the ground floor. There are only five somewhat cramped rooms. Continue reading Five-star elegance at Bento…
Thai tourism 50 percent down

July 2009:
This is what Suvarnabhumi airport’s Arrivals Immigration hall now looks like:
It’s a far cry from the days when at least half the counters were open and each operating counter had a queue of 20 – 30 people before it. Now, only one in ten counters are open, and even then, it has just 2 – 3 persons. Continue reading Thai tourism 50 percent down…
Sempurna – the massage clinic
July 18, 2009 at 01:18 | In Gay Kuala Lumpur, M2M massage, Mack's reports | 16 CommentsTags: Sempurna Avenue Massage KL
May 2009:
“Go to room seven,” Sempurna Avenue’s boss said. It was a bit of a culture shock for me, used, as I am, to the elaborate courtesies of most Thai massage places.
The chosen massage boy was nowhere in sight. No tea or water had been served. I was just told to find my assigned massage room by myself, like the way busy clinics tell you to make your own way to a numbered consultation room.
Fortunately, Sempurna is not a large place. Everything is on one floor. I found the room without difficulty. Continue reading Sempurna – the massage clinic…
A coarser Thailand
July 15, 2009 at 12:24 | In Gay Bangkok, Gay Pattaya, Mack's musings | 4 CommentsIs the famous Thai hospitality disappearing? Silom Farang, in his blogpost Thai-farang tension put into words a sense that had been developing for a while: a “more negative vibe” towards foreigners.
Quoting Stickman’s weekly column Messing up the tourism industry, Silom Farang concurred that there was increasing crime against foreigners and a general coarsening of Thai hospitality. Stickman, for example, wrote that “With tourism experiencing its worst slump in memory, those who had become dependant on tourists for their income see almost anything and anyone as fair game,” and that “scammers, con artists and criminals have spread their net wider in recent times.” Continue reading A coarser Thailand…
China boy at Fresh Massage
July 12, 2009 at 23:10 | In Gay Kuala Lumpur, M2M massage, Mack's reports | 4 CommentsTags: Fresh Massage KL
May 2009:
I had only asked for a 60-minute naked massage, but Rick gave me something like a body-to-body, which is normally priced higher. He also cuddled and kissed lightly, the kind of “service” that I have not always obtained from the massage parlours of Miharja in Kuala Lumpur.
But how long Rick can be found there is another matter. Being from China, I expect he was just on a tourist visa.
Surfing the net prior to this visit to the Malaysian capital, I came across reports of a place called “Fresh”. However, there was no address provided in the bulletin boards, only a mention that it was along the same row as Paradise Massage. Continue reading China boy at Fresh Massage…
Chart from B&N scores two Eights
July 4, 2009 at 21:12 | In Gay Bangkok, M2M massage, Mack's reports | 3 CommentsTags: B&N Massage Bkk
April 2009:
“Can I take your photo?” I asked.
There was no answer; he was too busy getting into his best pose.
Chart was 33 years old, but, as you can see, in good form. He had what I call a W3M physique. Body hair 1A3. About 167 cm tall, about 75 kg, with a respectable-sized cock.
I had the sense that he was going to be good from the moment the showering began. He soaped me sensuously, paying particular attention to down there.
His massage skills were good too: Very firm palming, varied with other strokes such as thumbdraining, knuckling and forearming. 8/10. Continue reading Chart from B&N scores two Eights…

This ad that I came across in a freebie magazine brought back memories. This shop has been in business for a very long time, maybe 20 years, though I’m almost sure that in the early days its name was spelt Inter-Moustache’s House. As you can see the ad now spells it differently (Inter Mustanche’s).
